Railway Deployment

Neptune includes a railway.toml for one-click deployment on Railway.

Setup

1. Fork the Neptune repository
2. Create a new Railway project and link the repo
3. Add environment variables in the Railway dashboard:
   • ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
   • NEPTUNE_ADMIN_KEY
   • GITHUB_CLIENT_ID / GITHUB_CLIENT_SECRET
4. Attach a Railway Bucket for S3-compatible object storage (auto-injects BUCKET_ENDPOINT, BUCKET_NAME, AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID, AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY)
5. Deploy

Object storage

When BUCKET_ENDPOINT is set, Neptune stores uploads and results in S3-compatible storage instead of local disk. Railway Buckets auto-inject the required environment variables when attached.

CORS

Set NEPTUNE_CORS_ORIGINS to your Vercel or frontend URL:

NEPTUNE_CORS_ORIGINS=https://neptune.rip

Reverse proxy

Set NEPTUNE_TRUST_PROXY=true so rate limiting uses the real client IP from X-Forwarded-For.
